Today while in my "quiet time" as I prayed, my heart and mind was impressed to pray for soldiers. I've never known anyone personally who has been or is a soldier, but like thousands of people who many not have a personal connection, our hearts still connect somehow with these men and women who are outstanding citizens in this world.
As I prayed for our soldiers I found the words "for the healing of their wounded souls" being asked! I can't begin to imagine what soldiers have to deal with mentally - the death of their fallen comrades, the loss of body parts, the nightmares, the decision to kill or wound another for the safety or protection of others. It has got to be a heavy burden to bear - how do they cope? is there a supportive network of people surrounding them to help them find healing for their minds, heart, soul and body? I'm sure there is and may the important of this network continue to grow strong and have whatever it needs to meet the demands of our soldiers.
May the respective government bodies do their best for the families and our soldiers.
How about the lives of their loved ones - the kids, parent, spouses, relatives and close friends? May they too find healing for their souls. Patience, time and practical acts of love has to be measured out to all affected.
Our soldiers has sacrifice their very lives to protect and better the lives of others - they are our every day heroes.
To our amazing soldiers; we salute and thank you!
