Reaching children in need

I finally picked up this free book to read - "reaching children in need" by Patrick McDonald. After reading only 56 pages I am beyond shocked and the contents only reinforces to me not just the need, but the awareness that this epidemic against children isn't going away, and I have to help, give my time, money and service to this cause even more.

I've never carried a child and have never been called "mom", but in some strange way I feel called to give as a mother does to children who desperately need love, food, shelter and guidance.

Experiencing the feeling of abandonment hurts and it causes you to internalize and question yourself in a negative way. As adults we deal with that when relationships are broken. I can only imagine the burden it must be in the life of a child who carries it into adulthood.

Each of us can do something - if you're already involved, then kudos to you but go a little further...not much, but little to you, means so much to a hungry child.
If you're not doing anything, please find a legitimate organization and do your best so that a child or two or three and maybe more will get to eat, feel loved, protected, and have a dry warm place to sleep today.

Thank you!
