Think about it...where there is good food, people gather to mingle, socialize and even get deep into some heavy topics. We can get lost in conversing as we nibble our way through the goodies on our plate. Stopping only to find that our plates are empty - oh, excuse me for one sec...time for a refill!
A few colleagues and I are away on a business trip - training staff and that can be tiring on the trainee and trainer. Me, Lis and Jas decided after a long day to treat ourselves to a nice dinner, by visiting an upper class restaurant with upper class prices, but hey...we deserve it.
We relaxed in comfortable dining chairs with great decor and each ordered martini - appetizer of melted goat cheese on thinly sliced toasted french bread with a brushetta spread. Yummy! We traded sampling each others' drink and mine was awarded "best tasting":-) My prize? I get to drink it!
Dinner was extremely tasty and we raved over the rich quality of our food and service. The cost was so worth the experience - enough to want to do it again soon.
So, take some time to get away with gal or guy friends to feast, gab, and laugh over food that would prompt your taste buds with expressions of - oo's and ah's.
